Food for Thought
13/12/2021 - 20:00 - 21:00
Food for Thought is a food inspired movement that encourages people to talk about mental health, depression and suicide.
It was founded by Dublin based Chef Daniel Hannigan following his own personal experience of losing his own Father to suicide at the age of 5.
Daniel believes that food is a powerful uniting force and that by sitting and eating together, we are afforded an opportunity to feel like we ‘belong’ and to share much more than a meal. He hopes that the spirit of Food for Thought reminds us all that there is no burden that cannot be lessened by sharing it with friends.
Food for Thought is a unique dining event which offers Irish Chefs the platform to showcase their talents whilst raising funds for Suicide Prevention Charity 3ts and awareness for Suicide Prevention in Ireland. Operating on a ‘pop-up’ basis, the event changes location for each event. Since its inception in 2017, Daniel has been joined by most of Ireland’s top Chefs including but not limited to Ciaran Sweeney, Damien Grey, Killian Crowley and Aoife Noonan.
